How Is Nano-Ceramic Different From Metallic Window Film?
Older high-performance films rejected heat by sputtering a microscopic metal layer onto polyester. That works, but it brings three side effects: a mirrored exterior appearance, attenuation of radio signals, and corrosion of the metal layer over time, which is what turns old film purple and blotchy at the edges.
Prestige rejects heat with a non-metallic construction instead — hundreds of micro-thin polymer layers tuned so that infrared wavelengths are reflected while visible light passes through. Nothing in the film conducts, so nothing corrodes and nothing blocks a signal.

The practical rule: glass that takes direct afternoon sun gets Prestige 40; view glass, north and east exposures, and anything under HOA appearance rules gets Prestige 70. Most homes use both.
